RETURN & WARRANTY POLICY

Blue Prism Automotive LLC

United States – Governed by Texas Law

Effective Date: [23-02-2023]

1. USED PARTS DISCLOSURE

All engines, transmissions, and automotive components are sold used unless expressly stated otherwise in writing on the final paid invoice.
Used mechanical components may exhibit normal wear, mileage-related condition, cosmetic imperfections, and oil residue or sludge consistent with prior use.
Purchase of a used component involves inherent mechanical risk. Seller does not guarantee future longevity beyond the limited warranty provided herein.

2. COMPATIBILITY RESPONSIBILITY

Buyer is solely responsible for confirming VIN compatibility, engine or transmission code, vehicle application, and emissions configuration.
Compatibility is determined by engine or transmission code—not donor vehicle year alone.
Incorrect orders resulting from inaccurate or incomplete buyer-provided information do not constitute defect or grounds for refund.

3. MILEAGE DISCLOSURE

Mileage references are based on supplier or donor vehicle records and are approximate unless expressly guaranteed in writing on the final paid invoice.
Mileage variance alone does not constitute defect or valid return grounds.

4. DELIVERY, RISK OF LOSS & INSPECTION

Risk of loss transfers to Buyer upon confirmed delivery by the shipping carrier.
Buyer must inspect the unit immediately upon delivery.
Visible shipping damage must be reported within forty-eight (48) hours with clear photographs of the unit, pallet, and packaging materials.
Installation constitutes acceptance of the physical condition of the unit.
Warranty period begins on confirmed carrier delivery date.

5. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS (MANDATORY)

Engines and transmissions must be installed by a licensed professional repair facility.
To maintain warranty eligibility:
• Oil system must be properly primed prior to startup
• New oil and filter must be installed
• Oil pressure must be verified
• Cooling system must be flushed and operational
• Manufacturer-recommended fluids must be used
• Timing components and service items must be inspected and replaced as necessary

Buyer must retain and provide upon request installation invoice, shop contact information, VIN, mileage at installation, and receipts for service fluids and parts.

Failure to provide documentation may limit or void warranty eligibility.

6. 30-DAY LIMITED PARTS REPLACEMENT WARRANTY

A thirty (30) day limited parts-replacement-only warranty applies from confirmed delivery date.
This warranty covers catastrophic internal mechanical failure of the long block or transmission core that renders the unit inoperable under normal operating conditions.
“Inoperable” means the engine or transmission cannot perform its primary propulsion function under normal driving conditions.
Seller liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price of the part.
This is a parts-only warranty. Labor, diagnostics, towing, rental vehicles, downtime, and consequential damages are not covered.
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser listed on the invoice and is non-transferable.

7. WHAT IS COVERED

For engines sold as long blocks, coverage applies only to:

• Engine block
• Crankshaft
• Connecting rods
• Pistons
• Cylinder head castings (structural cracking only)
Cylinder heads are covered solely for structural cracking and do not include valvetrain components contained within.

For transmissions:

• Internal gear engagement failure rendering transmission inoperable.
Coverage applies only when internal mechanical failure is verified upon physical inspection.

8. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

The following are not covered:

• Normal wear and tear
• Engine noise, ticking, or lifter noise
• Minor metal presence in used oil
• Oil consumption
• Sludge buildup
• Minor leaks
• Gaskets and seals
• Timing belts, timing chains, guides, tensioners
• Camshafts
• Rocker arms
• Lifters / lash adjusters
• Valvetrain components
• Turbos
• Intake or exhaust components
• Sensors or electrical components
• Oil pans and external accessories
• Pre-existing vehicle conditions

Valvetrain components including lifters and camshafts are considered wear-related components and are not covered unless catastrophic rotating assembly failure is confirmed.

Noise alone does not qualify as catastrophic failure.

9. OIL CONTAMINATION & OVERHEATING EXCLUSION

Damage resulting from oil starvation, improper priming, incorrect oil viscosity, contaminated oil, debris introduced during installation, cooling system failure, or overheating is not covered.

If the unit contains heat tabs or temperature indicators, evidence of overheating voids warranty eligibility.

10. UNAUTHORIZED DISASSEMBLY OR REPAIR

Warranty is void if internal components are removed, replaced, altered, machined, resurfaced, or substituted without prior written authorization.
Diagnostic-level inspection such as valve cover or oil pan removal is permitted. Complete teardown voids warranty.
Evidence of component substitution or tampering voids eligibility.

11. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

If mechanical failure is suspected:

1. Buyer must cease operation immediately.
2. Buyer must notify Seller in writing.
3. Seller may request diagnostic documentation.
4. Buyer must make the unit available for return inspection.

Buyer must cooperate reasonably in the evaluation process. Failure to provide documentation or access may limit eligibility.
No refund or replacement will be issued prior to physical return and inspection.
If inspection determines no qualifying internal failure exists, the unit may be returned to Buyer at Buyer’s expense.

12. NON-WARRANTY RETURNS

Non-defective return requests must be submitted in writing within fourteen (14) days of delivery.
Approved non-warranty returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee, non-refundable outbound shipping, and buyer-paid return freight.
Items installed, modified, dismantled, or altered are not eligible for non-warranty return.

13. NO REFUND-FIRST POLICY

Opening a PayPal dispute, chargeback, or payment claim does not eliminate the requirement to return the unit for inspection.
Refund determinations are made only after inspection confirms eligibility.

14. NO VERBAL MODIFICATION

No verbal statements, emails, text messages, or representations modify this policy unless expressly stated in writing on the final paid invoice.
In the event of conflict, the final paid invoice governs the transaction.

15. GOVERNING LAW

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
